Operatives of the Nigeria Police rescued a yet-to-be named agent of the Peoples Democratic Party from been lynched to death by some aggrieved Edo voters in Saturday bye-elections.
According to The Nation, the incident happened at Ozolua Model Primary School voting centre, Iguobazuwa East Ward, headquarters of Ovia South West Local Government Area.
TheNewspad reports that the agent, incurred the wrath of voters who accused of withholding some Permanent Voter Cards they kept in his custody, thereby denying them their franchise.
Voting however commenced after the suspect was taken away by security operatives, after voters the alarm that caught their attention to the scene.
