The Nigerian Army has opened investigation into the circumstances that led to the murder of General A. O James by a
Corporal soldier simply identified as Mr Ebun in Lagos State.
James, Director of Finance, who was walking to his apartment within the Barracks when the Corporal soldier’s car hit him from behind at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, NAFRC.
PRNigeria reported that NAFRC Barracks sources said the incident happened when Mr Ebun, who works at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, NARC, was driving out of the NAFRC Old Barracks in the State.
Mr Ebun was drunk at the time the incident occurred and was driving recklessly, a source said: “He has been detained by the NAFRC provost for further investigation”.
TheNewspad reports that an official statement from the Nigerian Army authorities, is being awaited.
