Doctor on-the-run over ‘fake medical report’ linking suspended Benin Duke’s against natives

Date:

A medical doctor reported to have procured a fake medical report to validate attempted murder case instituted by the suspended Enogie (Duke) of Ulegun Dukedom in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, Sunday Eghosasere Omoregie against nine elders of the Community, is on-the -run after receiving police summon.

The medical practitioner working at a private Clinic around 2nd East Circular road in Oredo Local Government Area, fled his home, following police invitation from the Assistant-Inspector General of Police, AIG Zone 5, headquarters in Benin City, to endorse a medical report that was submitted to the police, by the suspended Duke, failed integrity test.

The medical report was part of the documents that was attached to attempted murder petition to the police involving the mother of the suspended Duke and himself, who was sanctioned with 70 others for alleged rebellion against Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, Oba of Benin in Benin.

TheNewspad investigation revealed that police investigation indicated that the attempted murder claim was false, and a deliberate attempt by the suspended Duke to emasculate the Community elders who had been mandated by the Oba to takeover the affairs of Ulegun Community forthwith.

The nine elders, including Felix Edegbe, Pa. Alexander Ogun, Pa. Monday Itosere, and Mr Friday Aibangbee, were accused of bad behaviour for resisting attempts by a group of boys loyal to Omoregie’s to annex a vast communal land, housing ancestral shrine, and a traditional land in Ulegun Belonging belonging to the Oba of Benin.

The arrested elders, had been granted bail, while the petitioner has also made useful statement with police at the AIG, according checks by TheNewspad reporter.
