Dancing remains my hubby, gov Adeleke taunts his critics

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has declared that he will keep dancing, which he stated is his hubby and does not affect his duties as Governor.

Adeleke’s comments comes few days after his public backlash with Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, interrupted him and instructed him to stop singing and deliver his speech in five minutes, while he was singing during his speech at the 10th Coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife in the State.

Adeleke spoke as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday while responding to concerns after defecting from PDP to the Accord Party, which he intend to run on the platform in the 2026 Governorship election in the State.

He said, “well let me tell you something: I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love you to praise my God. And that doesn’t change anything”.

“I will still dance, praise my God and I will still do my work. That doesn’t change anything. That dancing, you see, everybody has their own way of relaxing or hubby.

“My hubby is to dance and praise my God. That does not affect my work”, according to him.

The Governor also revealed that he likes PDP, but crisis made him to dump the party for Accord Party.

Recall they Adeleke announced that he has joined the Accord Party as a new platform to seek re-election in August next year.

Adeleke explained that he actually joined the Accord Party more than a month ago precisely 6th November, 2025, as a platform to seek re-election in 2026
