Car wash owner murdered near police station in Edo

A car wash owner has been reportedly shot dead on Sunday afternoon by gunmen suspected to be cultists near the Nigeria Police Division on Airport Airport road in Benin City, Edo State Capital.

It was leant that the victim (name withheld) was allegedly brought down by his assailants beside the road pavement at his car wash near Benin Airport gate and left the pool of his own blood.

A dependable source said the victim walked into his death shortly after he received a phone call from yet-to-be identified caller suspected to be a member of the gang who identified him and rained bullets on him.

TheNewspad reports that emergency responders rushed the injured business man into a Toyota Sienna vehicle to the Airport road military Hospital.

But the gunshot victim was confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty, while his body has been deported at the hospital’s morgue for preservation.

TheNewspad is awaiting the response from the spokesman for the Nigeria Police Command in Edo State, CSP Moses Yamu.

Scores have been gruesomely killed since the resurgence of cult-related killings between members of the brotherhood began in the State recently.

Also, the State government has demolished some properties linked to cultists, kidnappers, money rituals and organ harvesters homes while others have been marked for demolition by the State government.
