Suspended Abdulsemiu Adewale Ogunjobi, the Olorile of Orile-Ifo in Ogun State, who was caught assaulting an elderly man, Chief Areola Abraham in a viral video yesterday docked in the State High court.
Force Public Relations officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi said in a statement that the accused was charged to court on the 4th day of February, 2025, on three-count charge of conspiracy, assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
The accused was granted bail while the case was adjourned to February 6th 2025, according to the Force spokesman who assured that police will continue to uphold the rule of law and the core values of the noble profession.

Recall that Abraham — was seen prostrating before him after accusing him of treachery in video.
In the same video, the traditional ruler also used foul languages on the victim, threatening to kill and bury without consequences, while his personal aide slapped the elderly man.
The State thereafter invited the Chief and the traditional ruler to a meeting where the later was suspended for six months from his position over his misconduct deemed as unbecoming of an Oba.
