All the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies, after a prolonged months of uncertainty.
Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga disclosed this in a brief statement he shared on social media on Friday evening.
“Finally, all the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies”, according to Onanuga.
TheNewspad recalls: On May 15, 2026, gunmen attacked schools and took the teachers and pupils Ahoro-Esiele community in Oriire Local Government Area.
The incident which sparked nationwide concern, when one of the kidnapped teachers, Michael Oyedokun, was reportedly beheaded by the abductors.
