Four criminal suspects have been arrested by police operatives for floating illegal ticketing, extortion under the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle, Tricycle, Repairers, and Riders Association of Nigeria in Ogun State.
The quartet: Inidana Muhammad, male, 50yrs; Ali-Asan Makun Muhammad, male, 40-year-old; Ahmed Isa, male (30), and Saliu Isa, male (23), according to police spokesperson in the State, CSP Omolola Odutola, were arrested for being in possession of forged receipts had caused the breach of peace around Sabo Under-Bridge area of Sagamu in the State.
The receipts, which the alleged fraudsters used to fraudulently collect revenue from motorcycle operators and traders as imposture, following a distress call received by the Divisional Police Officer, Sakura Division in the State at about 0800 hours on 20th November 2025, reporting that some individuals were extorting members of the public using fake ACOMORAN revenue tickets, police said.
The four suspects will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for detailed investigation and possible prosecution on orders of the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo.
The police boss, issued a stern warning to urchins and disgruntled elements who disrupt the lawful activities of commercial motorcycle riders that illegal union activities will no longer be tolerated and will henceforth be met with decisive police action.
He noted that the Command reiterates its strong stance against acts capable of disturbing public order and assured of the Command’s commitment to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and law-abiding environment for all residents.
