Canada deports Pastor over bribery allegations involving Nigeria police

Date:

Canadian authorities have deported a Nigerian Pastor Lucky Bidemi Olorunfemi to Nigeria over fraud related crimes, Ala Matthias of Bayelsa’s brought this to light on Facebook.

As reported, Justice McHaffie of the Toronto Federal Court upheld the decision of the Refugee Protection Division, noting that the pastor’s documents, including a newspaper report, police letter, and medical report, showed clear signs of forgery and manipulation.

Olorunfemi, according to court, had claimed he fled Nigeria after “Muslim Jihadis” attacked him for supporting the LGBTQ community, but the court found inconsistencies and spelling errors in his evidence, even the “wanted poster” had his name misspelled.

The judge ruled that only one thing was true in his case, that he’s a Nigerian citizen. His request for asylum remains denied.

“The application for judicial review is dismissed”, Justice McHaffie said during landmark judgement involving the Cleric who hailed from Ondo State.
