Reinstated governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has dissolved the Rivers State Pensions Board with immediate effect.

Rivers State said in a statement on Friday stated that the Governor functions of the Board will be handled by Office of the Accountant General of Rivers State henceforth.
It advised members of the defunct Board to hand over all properties and assets of the board in their possession to the Director of Administration of the Board, which will be constituted in due course by the Governor to manage the affairs of Pensions in the State.
The Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS has approved the immediate dissolution of the Rivers State Pensions Board.
Part of the statement reads, “Consequently, the Office of the Accountant General of Rivers State henceforth, will handle the functions of the Board”.
“Members of the defunct board are by this notice advised to hand over all properties and assets of the board in their possession to the Director of Administration of the Board”, according to the Government statement.
