35 suspects arrested for internet fraud in Edo

35 suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

They were arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Vigilante Street, off Sabo Ibenafo road and Back of Yak areas of the town.

The suspects arrest, following a credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities, according to EFCC’s statement published on Tuesday May 6th 2025.

Nine cars, eleven laptop computers, 46 mobile phones and two smart watches were recovered from them.

The suspects whose identities were not revealed, would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation, according to the EFCC’s statement.
