Soludo appoints Peter Obi former deputy, Adviser into cabinet few days to election

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State has appointed Mr Emeka Sibeudu as the Chairman of the State’s Housing Development Corporation Board.

Sibeudu, served as deputy during the administration of Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party (LP) in Anambra State years ago.

Mr Christian Aburime, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Soludo in a statement on Friday, said Mr Ikechukwu  Onyeabor, former political Adviser to ex-Governor Peter Obi, is among the 10-member Board of internally Generated Revenue and Housing Development Corporation.

Aburime said in the statement that Mr Onyeabor, HRH (Arc.) Jonathan O. Okpalaezecha and Chief Leon Mezue along with Dr. Obiora Walter C. Walter-Eze, will serve as members of the Board, according to the Governor Soludo who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Accordingly, the Governor also approved the appointment of the underlisted person’s into the board of internally generated revenue.

They are Mr Richard Nwora Madieb as the Chairman of the Revenue Board, while Dr Greg Ugochukwu Ezeilo, was named Executive Director of the Board where former Commissioner for Transport, Dr Christian Madubuko and Mr Benjamin Anierobi Okafor will both serve as Executive Directors.

The statement was silent on the date for the swearing-in of the newly constituted Board, is ostensibly seen by many as a political stunt ahead of the upcoming elections.
