By Onah Onah, Onitsha

Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Bola Tinubu for the 2023 general elections on Tuesday predicted that his political opponent in Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, will deny Nigerians presidency.

Tinubu said this at Nigeria’s ruling party campaign at Alex Ekwueme’s square in Onitsha, Anambra State.

He also took a swipe on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Presidential Candidate, Abubalar Atiku for failing to recognise the intellectual prowess of Igbo people when his party led the nation between May 1999 and 2015.

According to Tinubu, “PDP Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubarka and his party didn’t recognize the intelligence of the Igbos when he told them (waa- lahi to lahi ) meaning (na lie  I de lie )and as Peter denied Jesus in the bible, Obi will deny Nigeria several times”.

Tinubu described Obi and Atiku as liars, noting that Obi will deny Nigerians like one of the Disciples of Christ, Peter denied him three times before the cock crow” as recorded in the Bible.

The two-term Lagos State former governor, promised to create Jobs for unemployed Nigerian youths, and make Anambra State the industrial hub of the  South East Region if elected.

On his part the APC campaign Director-General and governor of Plateau State, Mr Simon Lalong, urged Ndigbo (Igbo people) to vote for the APC Candidate for peace, unity, love and development.

TheNewspad reports that it was however stressful for Tinubu to stand for 30 minutes after the nation anthem, heralding the beginning of the rally venue, as he was continually supported by the microphone stand to address the mammoth crowd of his party faithful and supporters.

It was learnt that the APC Presidential Candidate who who proceeded to the podium to address a crowd of supporters, was supported with the microphone stand by close party faithful after initial struggle to regain his stamina in order not to tip-toe.
