Lady Omosede Igbinedion, former House of Representatives member, representing Ovia Federal Constituency, has allegedly beat the deadline for the return of old banknotes, TheNewspad learnt.

Recall that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefile, on October 26, 2022, ruled out extension of January 31, 2023 the deadline for the return and phasing out of old N200, N500 and N1,000 banknotes, which has sent shivers down the spines of Nigerians.
A check revealed that Omosede Igbinedion who is seeking re-election to the lower chamber of the National Assembly, was reportedly swapped her old currency notes in First Bank Plc located at the King square and left the facility around 2p.m on Friday.
The politician, one of the beloved daughters of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin, was noticed and giving a rousing welcome at the crowded Banking hall by her admirers despite her low profile.
Clad in a floating gown in company of one her personal assistants, Omosede, walked through the stairs, while she was in the Bank, before she left at about 2:p.m.
