Residents of Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State have been thrown into mourning, following the murder of the Sole Administrator of the Council, Mr Chris Ohizu.

Ohizu, was allegedly beheaded 48 on Sunday, hours after he was abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers who had collected the sum of N6 million ransom from his family.

Recall that a grisly footage of Ohizu who could be seen pleading on his kneels with his abductors, sparked outrage on the internet, at the weekend.

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Command in Imo State, ASP Henry Okoye confirmed the incident, but did not give details.
