Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, CFR, has terminated the appointment of Enogie of Egbaen Siluko, His Royal Highness, Edomwonyi Iduozee Ogiegbaen.

Mr. Iguobaro Osaigbovo, Chief Press Secretary to the Oba of Benin in a statement on Tuesday January 3rd 2023, said the Enogie’s “removal takes immediate effect”.

The statement which did not give reasons for his removal, partly read, “This is to inform the general public that His Royal Highness Edomwonyi Iduozee Ogiegbaen has been removed as Chief Coordinator to the Palace on Enigie matters in Benin Kingdom”.

Recall that Ogiegbaen was appointed by the Oba as Chief Coordinator to the palace on Enigie (Dukes) matters in Benin Kingdom in August 2022.
