A fresh attack on Iperu-Remo, the hometown of Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has reportedly claimed the lives of two persons.
The tragedy was caused by a lingering boundary dispute between Ogere, a neighbouring community, and Abiodun’s hometown in Ikenne Local Government Area in the State.
The incident was caused by a cult clash that later resulted in a boundary dispute between the two neighbouring towns.
SP. Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Command in Ogun State, said on Sunday.
He revealed that the situation has been brought under control, while investigation into the incident has began.
Oyeyemi said, “The lingering boundary dispute was between Ogere, a neighbouring community with Iperu in Ikenne Local Government as the two towns clashed, leaving two persons dead”.
