A middle aged woman ho hails from Delta State has reportedly stabbed her fiancée to death.
The tragedy occurred at a drinking spot on Tuesday in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.

The Lady who identified herself as Gift, allegedly trailed the yet-to-be fiancee from her residence in Uhogua village in Ovia North East Local Government to a drinking spot in Egor Local Government Area of the State, on suspicion that the victim was hanging out with another mistress.

Witnesses said Gift, picked up a broken bottle and attacked the victim with it after disagreement which degenerated into a fight between them.

Angry youths in the area, according to sources, arrested the suspected murderer and thereafter handed over to police operatives for investigation.

Gift clothes were torn, can be seen in handcuffed in a vehicle been interrogated by unidentified man after the incident, according to a footage that was published by a Facebook user on Tuesday.

When asked why she allegedly stabbed her fiance to death, Gift who looks perplexed, said, “because I saw him with another woman”, she lamented.

She however declined to give further details about what led to brawl.

The spokesman of the Nigeria police Command in Edo State, SP. Chidi Nwabuzor, could not be reached for comments as at the time of filing this report.
