His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin has marked his 6th year coronation anniversary and birthday celebration.

Guests, friends and well-wishers shared their thoughts on the eventful reign of the Benin monarch at the event held in Oba Palace in Benin City.

Prominent Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, including traditional rulers, HRM Jackson Etokhana, the Oghie Avhianwu of Avhianwu clan; the Okogbe of Ojah, clan head of Okuleso and HRH, Oba Sule Idaiye, the IV of Somorika in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State; His Royal Majesty, Obi Nduka 1, the Obi of Issele-Uku; socio cultural organizations, Ohanaeze, Ndigbo, worldwide; the Edo State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Arewa and Hausa as well as the Yoruba Communities in the State.

Palace Chiefs, Enigie (Dukes), Ogie-Ohen’ Ikhuo (Priestesses), Enigie wives, Edo United Union in Rome, Italy, and other traditional groups take turns to pay tributes to the Oba of Benin

Cultural troupes provided entertainment, with special launch accompanying scintillating performances by cultural troupes and oration by Miss Izoduwa Precious Aragua on the great Benin throne to the delight of everyone at the Ceremony.

In apparent appreciation with guests and his well-wishers, Oba Ewuare II, waved to guests who scrambled to catch a glimpse of Royalty.
