The Peoples Democratic party (PDP) anniunced plans to create women and youth campaign councils for 2023 general elections.

Aminu Tambuwal, governor of Sokoto State, at the PDP South-South Zonal consultative meeting on Sunday night in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital.

Tambuwal, Director-General of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign organization said the move aimed at according women and youths proper recognition, ahead of the election.

Governors of Edo, Godwin Obaseki, Bayelsa, Douye Diri and Sokoto States and Kola Ologbondiyan, former Publicity Secretary of PDP, were among the dignitaries that attended the meeting.

But some PDP Governors in solidarity with Governor Nysom Wike of Rivers State and his loyalists including the party South-South Zonal Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, shunned the meeting.
