The burial rites of Prince Edun Akenzua, the Duke (Enogie) of Obazuwa Community, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State, is set to begin on 8th of October 2022.

The Octogenarian passed over three weeks ago. He was one of the younger brothers of Oba Erediauwa.

Edun, was also the pioneer Editor of the Nigerian Observer Newspaper, which founded in 1968.

On Wednesday 17th October 2022, his family members, obtained the permission to burial rites of the late Patriarch in line with Benin Customs and tradition through the appropriate authority.

Tributes by members of the Benin Royal family, friends and well-wishers, and other Nigerians still sending tributes to the late icon.

A formal announcement of Edun Akenzua’s demise is being awaited.
