The governor of Edo State has put President Muhammadu Buhari on notice, urging eligible voters across Nigeria not to vote the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 general elections.

He warned that if the ruling party government in Nigeria, is allowed to retain power, the nation not will fail and Nigerians will not realize their full potentials.
Obaseki, flanked by the State, deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, sent the wake-up call on Tuesday in Benin City while at a rally, marking his return from his annual leave to Edo State.
The Governor who admitted that times are hard, appealed to eligible voters in Nigeria and a grieved members of Peoples Democratic party (PDP) to be united and vote out APC in next year’s elections.
He also noted that after the victory of PDP in Osun governorship election, members of Nigeria’s main opposition party will go back to the drawing board to secure the national from the godfathers who have undermined development of the State and Nigeria.
According to him, “If we do not change APC Government, Nigeria will fail. God will not allow Nigeria to fail…Things are hard, but I promise you that by the grace of God, they will get better…We have suffered too much.
“We know because we feel your pain; That is why we must do everything to make sure that we change this government”, Obaseki said, “we must unite PDP in Edo and across the Country so that the road into Aso Rock will not be difficult.
“We know that they can’t help us”, the Governor said, “We are going back to the drawing board. All of you are going to play different roles”, the Governor assured.
Speaking further, Obaseki said, “A house that is divided can not stand, we must unit PDP in Edo and across the country so that our cruise to Aso Rock in 2023 will come to reality. We have suffered a lot and we won’t continue in that direction.
In their separate remarks, the State deputy governor, Philip Shaibu and State chairman of PDP, Tony Aziegbemi, extolled the sterling qualities of the Governor for braving the odds amidst daunting challenges associated with the recently governorship election where the Governor campaigned for his party’s Candidate and Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
