An unspecified number of worshippers have been declared missing following the attack on Saint Moses Catholic Church in Kaduna State by suspected terrorists.
The church located on Robuh, Ungwan Aku in the Kajuru Local Government Area of the was attacked while worshippers were rounding off the first mass on Sunday morning.
Elsewhere in Ungwan Fada, Ungwan Turawa, and Ungwan Makama, all in Rubu general area of Kajuru of the State, terrorists also struck, and killed three persons.
Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna who confirmed the incidents, said the hoodlums attacked worshippers at the Maranatha Baptist Church and St Moses Catholic Church in Rubu, killing three worshippers in the attack.
He identified the victims to include the Ward Head of Ungwan Fada, Peter Madaki; the Youth Leader of Rubu, Ali Zamani, and another resident of Ungwan Fada, Elisha Ezekiel.
The terrorists stormed the Communities on motorcycles, beginning from Ungwan Fada, and moving into Ungwan Turawa, before Ungwan Makama and then Rubu, according to Aruwan.
Security has been beefed up in the affected areas while the injured victims are receiving medical attention.
