2023 polls: Accord Party warns aspirants against illegal primaries

The national leadership of Accord Party has warned aspirants seeking elective offices on its platform against ‘illegal primaries’, ahead of the 2023 general elections.

National Secretary of the party, Dr Samson Isibor gave this warning in Benin City, Edo State while reacting to recent court judgment that affirmed Rev Isaac Adeniyi as the duly elected national Chairman of the party.

According to him, “The Executive Committee will have nothing to do with any Presidential primary which will not be observed by INEC, anyone who presented himself as Accord Presidential candidate is on his own”.

Isibor who described the court verdict as a morale bolster, appealed to supporters and members of the party to be calm and remain committed to the party, assuring that an enlarge meeting of stakeholders of the party will soon be convened.
