Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto state on Saturday, pulled out of the Presidential race.

He made the announcement at the ongoing National Convention/ presidential primaries.

Tambuwal, pledged his support the former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar, and accordingly asked delegates to support the later.

According to him, “Time has come for us to make sacrifices in the interest of our party and our nation. I have come to the conclusion that I have to step down”.
