An Assistant Superintendent of Police, identified as Ukam Efut, has been shot dead by fleeing gunmen.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday evening at a security checkpoint at Agwa in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.

One of the presidents of the area who craved for anonymity, said the the police Superintendent died on-the-spot.

The source also revealed that other policemen who were at the security checking point, immediately fled after the gunmen attacked everyone in sight and thereafter disappeared with Ukam’s penis.

The spokesman of the Nigeia police Command in Imo State, CSP Michael Abattam is yet to respond to inquiries by our Correspondent.

A security source said armed security operatives have been mobilized to the crime scene.
