Operatives of Delta State Command have rescued a 10-year old maid for allegedly assaulted accused of eating in their neighbour’s house in Delta State.

The minor lives in the same house with the alleged female abuser who brutally assaulted the little girl after she was abandoned to die of hunger.

A witness, Harrison Gwanminishu, hinted that the Couple is undergoing interrogation at the Police Divisional headquarters in Asaba Delta State.

John Kelvin Odianosen who shared photographs of the maid as reported by Gwanminishu’s post via Facebook on Friday, decried the prevalence of violence against persons in some parts of Delta State.

He wrote: “Another case of a 10 year old who was employed as a maid was beaten for eating in a neighbor’s house. Same child they left to starvation ate at a neighbour’s house to avoid dying of hunger, husband and wife brutally assaulted her mercilessly”.

He also said, “the husband and Wife are now detained in B Divisional Headquarters Asaba police for assault occasioning harm”.

Contacted, the spokesman of the Police Command in Delta State, DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
