The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Buba Marwa, has recommended a drug test as part of the screening of ruling All Progressives Congress candidates for the 2023 presidential election.

Recall that Bola Tinubu, Yemi Osinbajo and Rotimi Amaechi are among APC aspirants who had declared their interest to run for president in 2023 election.

The Chairman of the agency, Buba Marwa who said this at an award Ceremony for NDLEA officers on Wednesday in Abuja, expressed hope that other political parties will also participate in the exercise.

Femi Babafemi, spokesman of the NDLEA, promised to provide details on the agency’s guidelines for the exercise later.

TheNewspad reports that in the early 1990s, the Tinubu, the former Lagos State governor, had forfeited hundreds of thousands of dollars to the U.S. government over an alleged drug deal, which he denied vehemently.
