Police burst Delta brothel, rescue ‘underaged sex slaves’

Operatives of Delta State Police Command have rescued five underaged girls who were allegedly used as sex slaves.

The five young women were rescue from Fagoma Hotel located at Aragba in Otokutu in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State.

At a Press briefing on Wednesday the State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed Ali said ten other male suspects and female suspected prostitutes including the owner of the hotel with his wife were also arrested during the raid by police.

The girls were simply identified as Happiness ‘f’ (13 years), Esther ‘f’ (21), Angel ‘f’ (22), Miracle ‘f’(19), and Happiness ‘f’ (19).

CP. Ali said the girls were forced into taking an oath at Patani before they were brought to Otu-Jeremi and harbored by one Edwin Etareri the owner of the said brothel and his wife one Mrs Grace Etariri currently in custody.

He also said police a woman simple identified as Joy now at large, allegedly trafficked the underage girls from Rivers State and thereafter took them to Patani.

The Commissioner explained that investigation towards the arrest and prosecution of the fleeing suspected trafficker and other members of her gang has begun.
