The deputy governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe has resigned from her position in line with the electoral Act as amended in 2022.

She resigned on Wednesday to contest for the 2023 governorship election in the State on the platform of All Progressives Congress.

Balarabe, a Muslim, was first female deputy governor of the State, was elected on the platform of the ruling APC along with the El-Rufa’i who is also a Muslim in May 2019.
