Obaseki Cabinet member attacks Wike critics – – – hails Rivers governor

The Edo State Commissioner for Youths and Special Duties, Chris Nehikhare has slammed critics of River State governor Nyesom Wike and Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections.

Recall that Wike has being under attack by Governor Godwin Obaseki loyalists for crossing his leg before the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II came out to receive his guest at his palace on Thursday in Benin City.

This followed Media reports that Governor Wike did not visit Governor Obaseki and the PDP secretariat in Benin, ahead of the national Convention of the party slated for May 28th and 29th 2022.

Rather, Wike met with PDP delegates in Edo State at the residence of the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the PDP, Late Chief Tony Anenih in Edo State Capital.

But, Mr. Nehikhare who is the immediate past Publicity Secretary of PDP in the State, via his Facebook page on Saturday insisted that “Governor Wike is a respecter of our Benin tradition and i salute him for that singular reason”.

The Commissioner said, “Anybody from Edo state government dragging Wike for any reason at all should please remove the plank in their own eyes first before seeing the matchstick over there if any”.
