Landlord flogs twins with cable wire for defecating at home

A Landlord, Samuel Adekoya who reportedly flogged a twins with cable wire for defecated at his residence in Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria police.

He was arrested for physically molestation of 11-year-old twins’ brother identified as Taiwo Enoch Olishe and Kehinde Emmanuel Olishe’s parents who are his tenants were away when the incident happened few days ago.

A statement by Ogun State Command’s spokesman, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident in a Press statement on Friday.

He revealed that the suspect was arrested, following a complain lodged at Ijebu Ode area Command by the twins’ mother Gbenisola Olishe who also claimed that the twins molested by the landlord haven been made cleaned up the mess.

Oyeyemi, recalled that Gbenisola reported that, while she was away on her business, she received a phone call from ‘a good Samaritan informing her that her landlord was seen tied her twins hands and legs like goat and dragging them on ground with the rope after beaten them with cable wire’.

He also alleged that the suspect (Adekoya) chained both legs and hands of the twins and captured the cruel act in a video clip at the scene where he arrested by the Ijebu Ode Divisional Police operatives who also rescued and took the twins to hospital for medical attention.

Part of the statement read, “The suspect was arrested following a complain lodged at Ijebu Ode area command by the twins’ mother Gbenisola Olishe, who reported that, while she was away on her business, she received a phone call from a good Samaritan informing her that her landlord was seen tied her twins hands and legs like goat and dragging them on ground with the rope after beaten them with cable wire.

“The suspect was also video recording the cruel act while carrying it out”, according to the Police.

It further said the Samaritan stated further that the twins sustained varying degrees of body injuries as a result of the wicked act melted on them by the landlord who left them with lacerations on their bodies.

Continuing, Oyeyemi said, “Upon the report, the Area commander ijebu Ode, ACP Adeniyi Omosanyin, detailed some policemen to the scene where the two boys who were met tying down on both legs and hands were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment.

“On interrogation, the suspect explained to the police that he was informed that one of the twins excreted within the compound despite his warning that the compound must be be kept clean always. When asked to take policemen to where the excreta is, he said the boy has already washed it.

“One of the twins is currently on admission at Ijebu Ode General hospital due to injury he sustained while he was being dragged on ground by the suspect”, Oyeyemi stressed.

In the meantime, the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered that the case be thoroughly investigated and arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.
