Osinachi was shadow of her life, but divorce not allowed — Church

Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has asserted that the gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu had challenges with her marriage, but insisted that ‘divorce is not allowed under any condition’.

Recall that DSP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Command at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja confirmed the arrest of Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of 42-year-old popular gospel artiste, Osinachi who died on Friday last week, amidst rumours of spousal abuse.

Lead Pastor of the church, Paul Eneche said this in a Sermon on Sunday at the international headquarters of the church in Abuja.

He said it is better to avoid abusive relationship than to endure mental torture that can result to death.

The Cleric also advised married men who do not love their wives to return separate peacefully.

According to Eneche, ‘instead of killing them, hand them back to their father.

“Divorce is not allowed. This is what I believe. But it is better to be alive and there is no marriage than for you to die because of marriage.

“A killer marriage is a nonsense marriage. And I am not talking of physical killing. There are people who can finish their wife or husband emotionally, psychologically, mentally. This woman (Osinachi), is a shadow of her life”.

In a previous interview, Osinachi’s twin sister, Ms Favour Made alleged that the songwriter died as a result of a cluster of blood in the chest from the kicking she got from her husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu.

Made said said at an interview she granted to a National Daily Newspaper that her sister died of cancer disease as earlier speculated on the social media.

She alleged Osinachi doctor was not aware that Osinachi was kicked in the chest, but admitted that Osinachi suffered spousal abuse from her husband.

“We heard it was cancer that killed Osinachi. She did not die of cancer.

According to her, Osinachi’s husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu “hit her with his leg on the chest. All this while, he has been beating her but my sister hides all that she was passing through from us”.
