The National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu has resigned from the Senate.
Also, the current APC deputy Chairman (north), Abubakar Kyari, resigned his membership of the upper legislative chamber.
The letters of resignation of the Senators were read on the floor of the red chamber by Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday.
The two APC National Working Committee (NWC) members were elected as the national chairman and deputy national (north) of the ruling party in Nigeria held on March 26, 2022.
Kyari represented Nasarawa West Senatorial district while Abubakar, represented Borno north Senatorial district until their resignation.
An update from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the conduct of a bye election to fill the vacant positions, is being awaited.
