The death of popular Nigerian gospel singer, Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu, shot her to prominence in 2017 with ‘Ekwueme’ track, has been dogged in controversy.
One account from her closed friends said the songwriter, with a voice of fire popularly known for her song Ekwueme, suffered domestic abuse in the hands of her husband before she passed.
Osinachi’s friend, Chidinma Ego alleged that and abusive husband caused the death of the singer.
Another source revealed that Osinachi who was a leading Chorister at Dunamis International Gospel Centre, died of throat cancer.
The source said the mother of four children died at the national hospital in Abuja on Friday, two months after she was diagnosed with the disease two months ago.
The tragedy has triggered a flurry of comments among Nigerians in social media Community.
There is no official confirmation yet from her family.
