An Assistant Superintendent of Police, has been arrested by Police operatives attached to Police Command in Lagos State.

ASP Eyitere Joseph was recently caught in a viral video extorting the sum of N50,000 from a member of the National Youth Service Corp , NYSC in Meiran area of the State.

The Corps member who was accused of driving against the traffic, was said to parted with the money before she was let-off the hook in video, which provoked a wave of backlash on social media by Nigerians before his arrest.

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations officer confirmed ASP Eyitere’s arrest on his verified twitter handle.

A dependable security source said the alleged culprit has been recommended dismissal haven undergone an ‘orderly room trial’.
