A Benin-based oil dealer, Valentine Asuen on Wednesday declared his intention to represent Edo South senatorial district in the National Assembly.

He said this at a Consultative meeting with leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oredo Local Government Area of the State in Benin City.

Asuen promised to give priority to women and youths empowerment and sponsor people’s-oriented bills if given the mandate.

He listed key areas he has helped to reduced unemployment and assisted the less privileged people.

According to him, “I feel your pain…I have employed over 1000 Staff in my company and assisted several commuters in Edo State”.

In a remark, Hon. Osaro Obazee, Oredo APC Chairman, appealed to leaders of the main opposition party in Edo State to close ranks and work for the unity of the party ahead of the elections.
