Tinubu: Nigeria needs serious change to tackle poverty

.

Presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu on Thursday declared that ‘Nigeria needs serious change’.

The two term former Governor of Lagos State said he would address concerns by Nigerians including ‘insecurity, hopelessness, lack of education and suffering in the land’ if elected as Nigeria’s President in 2023 election.

Tinubu said this during his ongoing consultation for the 2023 presidential election in Ekiti State where he promised to make the future of Nigerian children great if given the mandate.

He emphasized that the nation needs a competent leader who has the capacity to unite the people, tackle insecurity and revive the ailing economy for the governed.

According to him, “That was why we formed the APC based on principles. I want to tell you that Nigeria needs serious change.

“I knew how Lagos was when I took over and we have never failed any election. There must be continuity in governance for progress to be attained.

Tinubu said, “We have struggled for democracy and today, we have democracy, but we are not stable yet. There is insecurity, hopelessness, lack of education and suffering in the land. By now, we should have a good farming system and opportunities to produce for other nations to buy.

“We are here to answer the call of our children by educating them the right way so that we can leave a Nigeria that is united, prosperous and abundant for them. We chose democracy and we must not fail in this task”, he stressed.

The former Lagos State Governor who recalled his sacrifices to the Nigerian democratic space, appealed to Nigerians to make use of available opportunities to develop Nigeria as the giant of Africa both in principle and practice.

Earlier in a remark, the National Chairman of Bola Tinubu Campaign Coordinator, Senator Adebayo Adeyeye recalled the sterling qualities of the Presidential aspirant and contributions towards good governance in Nigeria.

Adeyeye boasted that “Nobody can stand shoulder to shoulder out of all the presidential aspirants across party lines with him. He is the best builder of men in the history of Nigeria. This is the best man at this moment to rule Nigeria”.

The Traditional Council Chairman and the Onisan of Isan Ekiti, His Royal Highness Oba Ayodele Adejuwon, offered prayer and good wishes to the APC aspirant while the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, His Royal Highness Oba Adeyemo, described Tinubu as a pacesetter and committed leader.
