The Nigeria police Command in Ogun State has arrested a housewife, Ramota Bello for the alleged murder of her husband, Bello Saliu.

Ramota reportedly bathed her husband who was said to be sleeping, with hot water after a minor disagreement between them, causing her husband a grievous bodily harm

The incident according to the report lodged at Lafenwa Divisional headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State by a brother to the deceased happened on the February 12, 2022 after the suspect to flight having realized the gravity of the crime.

The Command’s Public Relations officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who said this on Thursday in a Press statement, however did not give the address of the Couple.

He revealed that the victim was quickly rushed to hospital for treatment, but gave up the ghost on the February 13, 2022 while receiving treatment.

“The case was not initially reported to the police until 21st of February 2022, when the fugitive was sighted in her hideout.

“Upon the report, the DPO Lafenwa division, CSP Kayode Shadrach, quickly detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested”, the PRO said.

Already, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to homicide section of the State Criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.
