The Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi on Monday named a new headmaster-general, Mrs. Olawumi Omonijo in charge of Primary schools in the State.
The approval by the Governor is contained in a Press statement from the Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
Omonijo, a 1997 graduate of Guidance and Counselling from the University of Nigeria, Nsuka, Enugu State, replaces Mrs Anike Apata who retired voluntarily in 2021 after 35years of meritorious service.
The appointee was until her appointment the Head teacher of SUBEB Model Nursery and Primary School , Ikere-Ekiti, according to the statement.
The new Headmaster-General was also urged to work assiduously towards the actualization of government’s objectives of transforming and taking Basic Education to greater heights in the State.
