The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has warned against activities of scammers, advising parents who have been scammed by admission racketeers to report such incidents with evidence’ to the Management.
It clarified that “no money is charged for admission, as Candidates are admitted on merit, based on the approved quota per course/programme”.
Spokesperson of the institution, Dr. (Mrs.) Benedicta Ehanire disclosed this in a Press statement issued on Monday.
The statement admonished “admission racketeers to stop their condemnable action currently reported to be going on”.
Part of the statement read: “The Management of the University of Benin is, again, warning admission racketeers to stop their condemnable action currently reported to be going on.
The Management reiterates that no money is charged for admission, as Candidates are admitted on merit, based on the approved quota per course/programme.
