The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has urged his supporters to be united, focus and guide against distraction.
Kanu’s lead Counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor disclosed this in an update on the routine visit to Kanu at Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters on Thursday in Abuja,
Recall that the Nigerian government recently, re-arraigned the Biafra agitator on a 15-count charge of treasonable felony, which he pleaded not guilty to when the charges were read to him.
According to Ejiofor lead a team of lawyers during the visit said, Kanu remains positive about the court proceedings,
Part of the statement read: “Kanu deeply appeals to UmuChineke to avail themselves of the peace initiative presently ongoing and not to be distracted anymore.
He specifically called on IPOB to keep their eyes on the ball because enemies are struggling in vain to entrench disharmony by ensuring that “the ongoing interventions towards peaceful coexistence must be respected, encouraged and abided by”.
“Further, Onyendu extends his warm regards to millions of his fans and followers who have equally remained consistently resolute and focused. He (Kanu) is convinced that the present situation will only last a while and he will emerge victorious.
