A maid who allegedly strangled Mrs. Maria Oredola Igbinedion to death on December 2, 2021, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria police.

Recall that the 85-year-old who hails from Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State, was buried last weekend in Benin City, the State Capital.

The young Lady, was caught in Calabar, Cross River State with the support of some individuals and thereafter transferred to Edo state police Command for further investigation.

The suspect believed to be in her 20’s reportedly committed the heinous crime fortnight ago at the residence of the decease at Ugbor in Benin.

She thereafter fled with undisclosed sum of money and jewelry belonging to the Octogenarian had being on a wheelchair five years ago, according to a relative who craved for anonymity.

Spokesman of the Nigeria police, SP. Kotongs Bello who confirmed the arrest of the suspect, said he is yet-to-be briefed.
