Oshiomhole predicts win for Edo APC in future elections


The former national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole says the party would win the National and Edo State House of Assembly seats in 2023 general elections and the 2024 governorship poll in the State.

But the APC lost its grip and voice in Edo State governorship election to the Peoples Democratic party, PDP on September 19, 2020, with over 80, 000 valid votes cast.

Oshiomhole, the former Governor of the State made the prediction at the Edo State APC Congress held on Saturday at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) sports Complex.

He based his prediction on the determination and the bod of unity that exist in APC that brought about the rancour-free consensus arrangement that was adopted in most parts of the Country on Saturday.

The former Governor specifically commended the team spirit of members and their loyalty to the party, ahead of the 2023 general, adding that ‘APC will rise again’.

In the meantime, the Nigeria police have opened inquiry into allege stolen car from UNIBEN sports Complex parking lot — venue of Edo APC Congress.

The owner of the Sport Utility vehicle, SUV whose Registration number cannot be immediately verified, according to security report, was declared missing by the owner simply identified as ‘Mr. Innocent’ who was a delegate to the Congress.
