The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says Nigerians will be made to know financiers of terrorism in Nigeria.
Abdukrasheed Bawa, Chairman of the Commission dropped the hint when he featured on Thursday Channels Television “Politics Today” in relation to a recent claim by the United Arab Emirates that six Nigerians as financiers of Boko Haram and other criminal activities.
The EFCC boss in the early hours of Thursday, slumped while delivering a speech at a programme organised by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami in Abuja.
According to Bawa, “…I believe at the right time, Nigerians will get to know those who are financing terrorism in this Country and beyond”.
He said the anti graft agency under his watch is working tirelessly with other sister agencies and international partners to give criminals and corrupt leaders in Nigeria a run for the money.
Speaking on the circumstances that made him to slump at an event in Abuja on Thursday, Bawa admitted that he had dizziness due to dehydration and had to excuse himself from the event.
He explained that he is now in a stable health condition after his encounter with his doctor and thanked Nigerians for their goodwill messages since the incident occurred on Thursday.
“I am very much okay. I was invited by the minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami in Abuja for a programme.
“While In was there, I had dizziness on me. I had to excuse myself on stage and of course I went to hospital where the doctor confirmed to me that everything about me is okay except for the fact that I am a bit dehydrated and that I need to take water. And straight away from the hospital, I went to office to tidy up one or two things. I am now back at home”, the EFFC Chairman explained.
