My husband, Agbonifo has changed location, says PFN leader


Evangelist (Mrs.) Margaret Agbonifo, the vision bearer of Family prayer Intercessory Ministries has asked Nigerians not to weep over the death of her beloved husband, Pastor Edward Agbonifo.


Pastor Agbonifo whose death occurred on Tuesday September 7, 2021, was the husband of Edo State Chairperson of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.

Evangelist Agbonifo, better known as Iyemonhia (everyone’s mother), declared that the Clergyman has only changed his location earth to eternal glory, adding that she appreciate the global tributes after misfortune knocked at the door.

The Edo State Chairperson of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Mrs. Agbonifo, urged believers in Christ to serve God in sincerity in order to reap his benefits.

In the a footage released on Facebook at the weekend, the widow said, “My husband served God. His death is just a change of location from earth to eternal glory.

“I am strong. My husband has finished his work and has gone to be with the lord.

“Death is turn by turn. It is not my fault. It is my turn. So, whatever you are doing now, remember that it will get to your turn one day”, according to her”, she said.

Pastor Enoch Agbonifo, eldest son of the deceased, announced the demise of Pastor Edward Agbonifo, co-founder of Family Intercessors Prayer Ministries Incorporated in a statement on behalf of his family on Tuesday September 7, 2021.

The funeral arrangements will be announced by the family, according to the statement, which referenced
the Bible of Romance Chapter 14 verse 8, “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s”.

Part of the statement reads: “It is with a joyful heart we announce the departure of our beloved Father and Pastor “Pastor Dr. Edward Odaro Agbonifo” who went to be with the Lord on the 7th of September 2021″.

The statement adds that “Our anchor remains Jesus Christ in whom we have the assurance that we will one day meet in a better place to part no more”.

Evangelist Agbonifo was decorated as the Chairperson of PFN, Edo State Chapter in November 2020, with funfair.

The widow, Evangelist (Mrs.) Agbonifo, brushed aside the trauma to also attend the 87th Birthday Celebration of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion at the weekend in Benin City, Edo State Capital.

Recall that the Octogenarian had announced the donation of 10 mega churches worth N100 million as part of public service to mark his 77th Birthday when he claimed to have received the call of God.
