A Chief Security officer (CSO) with Guarantee Trust Bank, GTB in Benin,
narrowly escaped been killed by a tipping truck when he rammed his car into a road pavement on Saturday in Benin City.
No life was lost in the lone accident which occurred at about 6:37p.m. on Sapele road, but the driver of the truck, sped off after the crash.
The unnamed security personnel who rode in a green Toyota Highlander car, 2021 model, was said to be negotiating a bend in front of Sapele road Branch premises of Bank.
It was learnt that while the bumper of the Spot Utility Vehicle, SUV, was damaged, according to investigation.
A loud noise of the crash sent jitters down the spines of Bank Customers at GTB and Fidelity Bank Automated Teller Machines, ATM galleries.
The mission of the CSO who continued his journey when the gridlock occasioned by the crash, eased few minutes later, unknown.
But a stunned bystander from a popular restaurant in the area hinted our Correspondent that he suspected the security personnel had tipped over on wheel from a party.
The dark in complexion security personnel who was alone in the SUV, turned down interview with our Correspondent.
