Unidentified burglars have raided Diete Koki Memorial Hospital in Bayelsa State.
The hoodlums, according to reports, scaled a perimeter fence of the government owned hospital on Tuesday night and stole cash and valuables belonging to doctors on call and patients.
One of the robbery victims, Doctor Okeleghel Awudumapu told newsmen that he was caught off guard by the two burglars.
Awudumapu hospital patients in labour ward with their family members were also not sparred during the raid, which lasted for about 5 minutes.
A gatekeeper at the premises, Mr James Benini, said it is the second time the hospital has experience such incidences.
Dr Emmanuel Fetepigi, Medical Director of the hospital, condemned the incident and assured that police have been duly informed about the barbaric act.
