Zulum reunites rescued Chibok school girl, husband, children with family


Governor Umara Zulum of Borno State has reunited one of kidnapped Chibuk Secondary school girls, Chibok in Borno State with her family.

Ruth Ngladar Pogu, is thought to be among the 276 female students mostly Christian aged from 16 to 18 who were kidnapped on April 14, 2014 by members of the outlawed Boko Haram terrorists at town of Chibok in the State.

Chairman of the Chibok Parents Association identified the girl as one of the missing Chibok student.

Pogu returned with her husband, two Children, were rescued by military troops, Federal Government’s Operation Safe Corridor and handed over to Governor Zulum.

A confidential source said the hostages were led to Borno State government House where the Governor made a brief remark.

Ruth now a Muslim, was shielded in a purple coloured Hijab holding on to her two kids – a lite boy and a girl, according to the source.

The hostages are expected to undergo a further medical examination and counselling section in a manner a few others who had regain freedom in the past.
