A young woman has allegedly committed suicide in Idokpa Community, Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State, after a prolonged depression and anxiety.

Corpse of the unidentified middle-age woman was discovered
in the early hours of Thursday inside an uncompleted building after the Idokpa International market in the locality.

Neighbours including traders and elder of Idokpa Community, trooped out to catch a glimpse of the unidentified woman whose body could be seen dangling from a rope tied to the wooden roof in the building.

Police operatives from Egba police Division were called to the scene by the owner of the property for a preliminary investigation into the cause of death of the woman in a navy blue colour top toked inside a floating muti colour gown, erect.

The police personnel rebuffed entreaties by our Correspondent to obtain comment from them when they arrived the crime scene.
